Day 01 Airport – Negombo

  • Arrival in Colombo International Airport and meet with our representative at the arrival lounge, transfer to hotel and relax (20 min drive approximately)
  • Afternoon city tour.

Day 02 Negombo – Sigiriya – Habarana

  • Breakfast at the hotel and Transfer to Anawilundawa Wetland – 1 hours drive approximately
  • Bird Watching at Anawilundawa.
  • Anawilundawa is a man-made wetland constructed in the 12th Century AD and is located on the western migratory bird route. This is a sanctuary with prolific bird life in beautiful surroundings. The vegetation of the site consists of a scenic forest in the low country dry zone and in addition to birds, mammals such as mouse deer, hare, mongoose, squirrels, wild cats (such as civets), wild boar and fruit bats and reptiles and amphibians like land monitors, water monitors, lizards, geckoes, skinks, and tortoises can be sighted.
  • Afternoon transfer to Nawadankulama for bird watching.
  • The Nawadankulama Tank is about half and hour’s drive from the Anawilundawa Sanctuary. It is barren and dry when there is no rainfall. The tank is frequented by large flocks of migrant ducks. Collared dove and Indian grey partridge are present year round along with several species of eagle.

Day 03 Sigiriya – Hiriwadunna – Sigiriya

  • After breakfast Full day safari at Wilpattu National Park.
  • Wilpattu is a fairly thick dry zone jungle interspersed with a number of flood plain lakes banked with delicate white sands. It boasts an impressive variety of flora in huge expanses of forest, and varied wildlife, including deer, elephants, wild boar, sloth bears and leopards.
  •  Anuradhapura is the most extensive of the Sri Lankan ancient cities and a World Heritage site. It was the national capital for over 1300 years up to the 10thCentury AD. During the tour, you will visit the Museum, Sri Maha Bodhi, Ruvanweliseya, Jethavanarama (World Largest Bricks Building), Abayagiriya, Moonstone and etc..

Day 04 Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa – Sigiriya

  • Breakfast at the Hotel and travel to Minintale.
  • Visit the Rock temple and Monastery.
  • Then proceed Polonnaruwa and visit the Cultural sites.
  • Visit the Museum, Royal Place, Statue of King, Gal Viharaya Statue, Lankathilaka Temple, Thuparamaya, Shiva Devalaya and etc…
  • The city of Polonnaruwa – medieval capital & crown jewel of King Parakramabahu I – remains superior proof of ancient culture & heritage blended with religious beliefs. Walk across its scattered walls of the World Heritage Site – blessed by stupas, resting Buddha statues, irrigation canals and fantastically carved Hindu sculptures – while observing the relic house – Watadage – which boasts of beautiful stone carvings. Take a close glance and you will realize a subtle Hindu influence on architecture and statues found in Polonnaruwa. Or sit by the side of Galviharaya and observe the absolute beauty gushing out of every bend of its huge Buddhist statues. Nissankamalla Council Chamber is however, a head-spinning beauty to just sit back and observe with its swaying pillars reminding the aesthetics of a powerful kingdom which rests beside Parakrama Samudraya – sea of Parakramabahu & masterpiece of irrigation!

Day 05 Sigiriya – Dambulla – Matale – Kandy

  • After breakfast climb Sigiriya Lion Rock visit Dambulla. Afternoon visit Spice garden in Matale on the way to Kandy.
  • Sigiriya Rock Fortress
  • Sigiriya is a magnificent rock fortress built in the 5th century A.D. This majestic Citadel in the sky was the refuge of King Kasyappa and is world-renowned for its Mirror Wall’, which consists of poems and paragraphs carved by some of the thousands of visitors who visited the rock many years ago, and for its magnificent frescoes, similar to the Ajantha frescoes of India.

Day 06 Kandy

  • Visiting 3 temples, Gadaladeniya, Lanka Thilaka,Embakke (3 hours trekking)
  • Afternoon do a city tour of Kandy. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, and is a World Heritage Site. The name Kandy conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Many of the Legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Kandy town and Bazaar, the arts & crafts centre and a gem museum and a lapidary. In evening witness a spectacular Sri Lankan cultural show.

Day 07 Kandy – Nuwera Eliya

  • After breakfast visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens.
  • This botanical garden was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers and going to Nuweraeliya by train (From Peradeniya to Nanu Oya  (4 hours) or by train 1 hour Nawalapitiya to To witness a local train experience  on the way to Nuweraeliya visiting tea plantations you can have 1 hour walk. Tea factory visit. Lunch at restaurant and proceed to Nuweraeliya (Little London).
  • Arrive in Nuwara Eliya to be greeted by the fresh wintry atmosphere, Nuwara Eliya is located at the heart of the hill country 6182 feet above from the sea level. It is still very much like an old English town with styled Bungalows and buildings. The cool calm climate, gorges rolling tea plantation which makes the best “Ceylon tea” and the breathtaking beautiful waterfalls makes Nuwara Eliya one of the most beautiful town in the world (travel by train to Nuwera eliya Optional)
